How it all got started…
While pursuing their PhDs in analytical and organic chemistry, Josh Swider and Dave Marelius became aware of the medicinal benefits cannabis offered patients that went beyond the realm of traditional medications. However, the cannabis community lacked analytical chemists dedicated to proving its potential. Knowing their experience could help set the standards within the industry, Josh and Dave founded alpine science Analysis Labs in 2016 with one goal in mind- providing the new, emerging cannabis and hemp industries and its consumers with high quality, accurate testing services they During their pursuit of Ph.Ds in analytical and organic chemistry, Josh and Dave recognized the medicinal benefits of cannabis that extended beyond traditional medications. Observing a lack of dedicated analytical chemists within the cannabis community to substantiate its potential, they decided to leverage their expertise. In 2016, they founded Alpine Science Laboratory with a singular goal: to furnish the burgeoning cannabis and hemp industries, as well as their consumers, with trustworthy, high-quality, and accurate testing services.p>
Over time, the original team of two has expanded to include over 30 skilled scientists, each holding a bachelor's degree or higher. This growth ensures that their collective passion for science is consistently mirrored in their work. As regulatory frameworks evolved, so did the services provided by Alpine Science Laboratory, now encompassing all necessary testing mandated by the state of California. Rigorous validations are implemented to uphold the highest standards in analytical analyses, recognizing the direct impact that released results have on consumers. The commitment is unwavering — the analytical methods employed will always meet or surpass the prevailing legal standards.

Since then, the team of two has grown to over 30 talented scientists with bachelor’s degrees or higher, ensuring their passion for the science is reflected in their work. As regulations changed, our services have grown to cover all required testing set forth by the state of California, with validations in place for the most reliable analyses. We understand the results released directly affect the people consuming the products tested, which is why the analytical methods we use will always be held to- or above- the current legal standards.
